The water level is low in the front load washers. Water, dirt, water softeners and detergents do not always fully drain out of a front-loading washer. All these things cause odor problem. Using cold water for most loads can also add to the problem. Over period of time mold can form along the door gasket and in the washer causing a bad odor. 1. Run a load with hot water and pour some white vinegar inside the dispenser tray.
2. Clean washer door gasket booth with bleach.
3. Leave washer door open so that it can air out the odors.
4. Reduce detergent usage (some people use a lot of detergent and think that the clothes will clean better, well it doesn't)
5. Clean the Dispenser Detergent Tray after each use.
6. Use Affresh cleaning tablets, they are good for removing odor and cleaning front load washers.
7. Clean out the lower filter tray sump located below the washer. Some filter trays are located below the machine and they are easily visible.
