Front load washer has been in use for more than 50 years in America. Since the late 1990's they have been the number one washer to buy for consumer if they can afford to buy one. Front Load washer are becoming more less expensive today than 3 years ago and every American household wants one in there home. Here are some advantages and disadvantages of front load washers.

Advantages of a Front Load Washer

• The control buttons are on the front, easy to access and all you have to do is press a button that suits your needs (very helpful to a confined person on a wheelchair)
• You can wash more clothes and a full blanket. It has more space than a top load washer.
• Front load washer use less water which will save you money on your water bill. It uses about 45% of water that is used in a top load washer.
• More efficient in drying. A front load washer spins at 1500 to 2500 rpm and leaves less water on your clothes and cuts your dryer run time by more than 50%.This will lower your energy bill and save you money.
• Less noisy than a top load washer.

Disadvantages of a front load washer

• Front load washers are very expensive than top load washers. Some cost $800-2,000 dollars.
• The repair cost to fix a front load washer is more than a top load washer because of newly designed complex computer boards that are installed . When these computer control boards break, they can cost you a lot for the repair.
• They have more mold and odor problems (Some products are in use to eliminate the bad odor problem caused by front load washers)
• If you have a bad back problem, be aware! You have to bend down a lot to remove your clothes.
